1. Data controller

MO&KA IT Services operates RideBorder and is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact details for privacy requests will be set out here.

2. Data we collect

Account details (name, contact, verification status), ride details (pickup, drop-off, times), approximate and live location while a ride is active, and payment metadata. The full list will be set out here.

3. How we use it

To match riders with drivers, run active rides and live tracking, process the shared cost, keep the service safe, and meet legal obligations.

4. Legal bases

Processing is carried out in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The specific legal bases will be set out here.

5. Sharing and processors

Limited ride information is shared between the matched driver and passenger to complete a trip. Infrastructure and payment processors (for example Google Cloud / Firebase for hosting and authentication, and the payment provider) act on our instructions. The full list will be set out here.

6. Where data is stored

RideBorder’s services and database run in Google Cloud’s Zurich region (europe-west6), keeping data within Switzerland/the EU. Any transfer outside this area will be set out here.

7. Retention

How long each category of data is kept, and what is deleted when an account is closed, will be set out here.

8. Your rights

Rights of access, correction, deletion, objection and portability, and how to exercise them, will be set out here.
